Oily Roots
Oily scalp is a common condition experienced by many, and occurs when the scalp’s sebaceous glands produce an excess of natural oils, which can sometimes lead to limp, heavy hair and other potential scalp conditions. This condition is more common in those with finer hair textures as the build up of excess oil on the scalp is more noticeable, and can more easily weigh down fine hair than thicker hair strands. Whilst natural oil production in our skin and scalp is completely normal and vital in keeping the skin protected and hydrated, there are products and ingredients that can certainly help to keep the less appealing side effects on the hair under control. This can include choosing lighter formulations containing the same, hair loving ingredients as the richer options and including Organic ingredients such as Bergamot citrus to help regulate sebum production on the scalp, and increase the time between washes.

Today marks the end of an era for Ethical Brand Co as our incredible Nat spreads her wings and embarks on a new adventure 🦋
Nat has been an integral part of our EBC team for more than 7 years, and even before joining our team Nat was working with EverEscents during her Hairdressing Apprenticeship. We have absolutely loved watching Nat grow, she has been not only a pioneer for our company but the curly hair movement in Australia and New Zealand. During Nat’s time at EBC she has achieved so much, these achievements include:
⭐️ Development and launch of Eco Style Project
⭐️ Training salons in low-tox hairdressing and using EverEscents
⭐️ Researching, developing and launching Australia’s first curly hair range, Clever Curl
⭐️ Pioneering our Clever Curl Education Program and educating the next generation of Curl Specialists
We cant wait to see you shine on your new journey. You will be able to find Nat at Krop Hair in Brisbane, QLD as she continues to make “waves” in our industry🤍🤍

It is officially National Recycling Week and we are here today to show you some of the ways that we do our part everyday! 🤝
What are you going to do this week to make a difference? Comment below! 😊🤍
...
Some of our wonderful team members organised a clothes swap just in time for the start of National Recycling Week! Any clothes not finding their new homes today will be donated to local shelters and op shops 🤍
A great way to introduce a more sustainable lifestyle is by hosting a clothes swap or simply shopping second hand! With such an increase in fast fashion these days we forget the importance of longevity and good quality clothes! Op shops and markets are a great way to find beautiful pieces for less and usually much more unique ♻️
How are you celebrating National Recycling Week?
